Earlier this month, the Platinum Standard Grading team headed to Sydney to take part in one of Australia's biggest trading card shows - The Hobby Hangout, held at Manning House, Sydney University. This event gave us the chance to catch up with fellow collectors, check out (and even purchase) some new cards and hear panel discussions from some of the best in the community. Here's our recap of the 2022 Sydney Hobby Hangout.
The event featured anything and everything to do with the hobby including stalls, live breaks and trading zones. We also got the chance to hear from a panel of speakers including Charlie Oxley and Grayson White from Cherry, Laine Pearce from 130 Point, Brendan Sharp from merqary.com and PSGrading's very own Brett McCallum.
As usual, four Hobby Hangout goers were fortunate enough to leave with one of our Golden Tickets, giving them 10 express graded cards, and one lucky winner left with grading for life all thanks to our Platinum Ticket.
